Real Time Instruments Set to Showcase PGNAA Research at SME MINExchange

Real Time Instruments made a significant impact at the recently concluded SME MINExchange, an event that brought together key players in the mining and minerals industry. During the event, Robin Sheehy, the Chief Technology Officer, delivered a presentation demonstrating the effective use of Prompt Gamma Neutron Activation Analysis (PGNAA) for bulk sorting. The discussion emphasized the significance of analysis aligning with material variability. The practical implementation of an optimization approach for PGNAA analysis was explored, striking a balance between precision and analysis duration. This approach, aligned with the timewise distribution of grades in the material flow, was showcased as a means to improve the overall performance of the sorting process.
